How to avoid the Spiny Shell

So you're in first place. You see a warning that a spiny shell is going to hit you. Here is how to avoid it.

For this, you must have a mushroom!!!! As soon as you see that the shell is coming down toward you, use your mushroom. This will get you away from it, and it will blast behind you.

Or

If you're close to a cannon, get there as quick as you can. If you get there in time, the spiny shell won't hit you. If you're there late, it will hit you. The following courses have cannons or things that will cancel the spiny shell's blast on you.
DK Summit: The DK Cannon after the first turn.
Rainbow Road: The cannon between the 2 giant stars.
N64 DK's Jungle Parkway: The speed boosts that shoot you over the yellow river.
GCN DK Mountain: The DK Cannon after the first turn.
Maple Treeway: After the first couple turns.

How to avoid red shells

You're relaxing and racing with ease. You see a warning that a red shell is coming. (You don't see a warning with a green shell) Here is how to avoid them.
You must have banana peel(s)!!!!!!!! As soon as you see the warning lay down the banana peel(s). This will crack the shell.

How to avoid the POW block

You're on your last lap and heading toward the finish line. Everyone is right behind you. Suddenly, the POW block appears. You think you're doomed, and not going to come in first. This is how you avoid it:

You have to be on manual!!!!!! When the POW block appears, watch it. When the POW block starts to fade away, then press B and jump a couple times.

Shortcuts

We love Mario Kart. It's really awesome. Here are some really effective shortcuts to help you.

MAPLE TREEWAY:
When you first start the race, there will be a path on the right going upwards. Take it and it will be much easier than going the regular way.

DS DELFINO SQUARE:
When you are heading toward the pier, there will be some stone and grass off to the left. Use a mushroom to jump over the river and to the other side.

N64 SHERBET LAND:
To the right of the boulder there will be 2 extra item boxes and a ramp, which you can do tricks and get an extra speed boost.

DS YOSHI FALLS:
For this, you must be using a large character and the Flame Flyer!!!!! You cut through the first waterfall without a mushroom. You skip the next one, then go throught the third waterfall with a mushroom.

RAINBOW ROAD:
When you get to the part with the big holes in the road, use a mushroom and jump over the hole.

Please comment.
